Intel at one time offered Balanced Technology Extended (BTX)-compatible boxed processors with BTX Type 1 Thermal Modules for the Boxed Intel® Pentium® 4 and Boxed Intel® Pentium® D processor lines. BTX Type II thermal modules were also offered with the Boxed Intel® Core™2 Duo processor E6300.
